Young Writers Project News

Updated 7.21.14

Spinners, Weavers & Knitters,

What a glorious summer so far. Hope your gardens -- and your creations -- are growing well.

Thanks to all of you who have been so generous to Young Writers Project, a nonprofit dedicated to building a generation of better writers.

We are excited to announce that our primary online community for pre-teen and teen writers is now open to ANY child regardless of geography. Know some young person who wants to work on her/his writing? Send them to

They will get audience, feedback and informal instruction and will be amazed by work of their peers. The site has ONE rule only: Be respectful and civil and we are continually amazed by how well the kids treat each other.

So pass along the link to people you know! And check out the amazing work being done in the YWP Summer of Stories challenge at this link: YWPSoS.

And as you post your ad here, please drop us a donation. It allows us to keep doing our work with thousands of kids each year!

And ads again

I'm sorry to keep having to post this but I have gotten several ads again this week with no contact information. YOU are losing sales because anyone that wants to purchase your item has no way to contact you. PLEASE check your ads before you post them to be SURE you have either an email address or a phone number in the ad.

Thank you

Donations for web fees

107.00 still needed as we received another donation yesterday. THANK YOU!!!!

ADS again

I have had several ads posted this week with no contact information. When you do this you lost sales as no one can contact you. You must put either an email address and/or phone number in every ad selling items.

Thank you

GOOD MORNING ALL. : ) I DO HAVE FAITH IN YOU ALL. WE NEED A BIT MORE NOW TO MAKE IT TO THE FINAL TOTAL FOR THE SITE FEES. I know that the donations will come flooding in soon, as none of you want to see this site go away,'s almost 20 years old!!!

I am SURE we can make it! : ) If you LOOK at the pages, SELL on the pages, BUY on the pages, get IDEAS from the pages, then you are a user of our wonderful site.

I can get us a better plan for only $167.76 for two years. We still need $116.76 to be able to renew.

So there is no confusion, the donate button on the page does NOT go to list fees. That is strictly for the Young Writers program.

Thanks again and please consider a donation to keep us open

Web Fees

Blue Host says we have 15 days to renew. I don't have much hope in making it. It will be very sad to not have this list.

Thanks to those that donated. If the list shuts down I will return your donation.

Thanks to all
